The Cottages ****

We offer 10 lovely old cottages and 3 new luxury apartments in or near the ancient seaport of Whitby , sleeping 2, 4 or 6 people, to let for holidays of one or two weeks in summer or as little as 2 nights out of season. 
Prices range from only £250 per week per cottage (Cuddy or Quaker Cottage low season) up to £710 (Boatyard Cottage high season)
Prices can work out as low as £9.00 per person per night (6 people in Boatyard Cottage low season) and are often lower than a B&B

All gas or electric heating is included. One cottage also has an open fires, two have a living flame gas fire and one an electric stove.
Coal and logs are available nearby. The cottages are available and comfortable all year round.

Boatyard, Quayside and Cuddy cottages are next door to each other, and if booked together can accommodate 12 people but you may need to book well in advance to guarantee availability of more than one cottage.
Monkshaven, Quaker and Seashell cottages are very centrally placed fisherman's cottages.
Endeavour Loft, Sail Loft and Whitehall Landing Apartments are new apartments on the harbour side

Cuddy Cottage is a compact cottage, ideal for one or two people. Situated in a yard behind Boatyard and Quayside cottages it is well positioned for Whitby centre and the beach. This cottage has recently been renovated. Free unlimited on-road public parking is available opposite (on a first come basis). One well behaved dog welcome. Rated 4 star.
Ground Floor  Kitchen/Dining/Lounge with underfloor heating and an electric stove, leather sofa ,Sky freeview TV & video. kitchen area with cooker, fridge, hob and microwave. First floor pretty double bedroom with en-suite shower cubicle, basin and WC. Washer/drier in outbuilding in the yard.

Quaker Cottage is a very old, grade II listed, 4* compact cottage, suitable for 2 (+2) people, in an excellent central position close to the Swing Bridge on the old (Abbey) side of Whitby. On the ground floor is a lock up shop unit. Stairs to lounge/diner with TV and a feature electric stove. The lounge has a sofa bed for occasional use. Next to the lounge is the well equipped galley kitchen. A second staircase leads to a pretty bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. Next to the bathroom is the double bedroom with plenty of storage space. The double bed is made up for you. There is no extra charge to use the sofa bed but please bring your own bedding for it.

Quayside Cottage is a Georgian, stone cottage opposite the river and with views over the harbour to the marina.  Up to four people can be accommodated in its two bedrooms or it is the perfect place for a romantic break for two. Full gas central heating. Free unlimited on-road public parking opposite (first come basis). 4 star rated.
Ground Floor  21 foot Dining/Lounge with living flame fire, 2 leather sofas, Sky freeview TV & DVD. Fitted kitchen with automatic washer/dryer, cooker and microwave.
Small, enclosed yard with seat.
First Floor Romantic double bedroom with harbour views and en-suite shower cubicle, basin and WC. Twin bedroom with feature en-suite bathroom (bath with shower over, basin and WC).

Seagull Cottage is a two hundred year old Grade II listed fisherman's cottage. Set up a stone stepped alley off of Church Street in the old part of Whitby it has views of the upper harbour and over the pantiled rooftops to the abbey, which is floodlit at night. Up to four people can be accommodated in its two bedrooms or it is the perfect place for a romantic break for two. Free unlimited on-road public parking is only 50 yards away. 4 star rated. Ground Floor  Lounge with coal fire, Sky freeview TV & DVD and leather sofas. Fitted kitchen/dining room with automatic washer and microwave. Small, sunny, enclosed rear lawned area with a seat. Boatyard Cottage is a very old stone cottage set on Church Street on the river side with views over the harbour and marina. This cottage accommodates from two to six people. Ideal for families. The cottage has been recently (2006) renovated giving full gas central heating, new luxury kitchen and is immaculate inside and out. 4 star rated. Ground Floor  Level access from the street. Well equipped hi-spec kitchen/diner with cooker, microwave, dishwasher and automatic washer/dryer. Victorian style bathroom with roll topped bath, basin, separate shower cubicle and WC. There is a small, shared, stone flagged yard to the rear. First Floor Lounge with polished pine floor, leather sofas giving comfortable seating for six, living flame gas fire, DVD,TV with Sky Freeview and good views over the upper harbour. Double bedroom. Toilet and basin off landing. Top Floor Master double bedroom with TV and excellent harbour and river views. Twin bedroom.  NB. Only a short walk from the local supermarket, town centre shops and tourist amenities, and with unrestricted street parking available only a few minutes walk away on the West Cliff. Clean, light and airy accommodation and with a very welcoming feel, this cottage should suit couples and families alike. The cottage sleeps 4 in comfort and from the master bedroom window you can look out over the rooftops and see the harbour entrance and the sea beyond. 4 star rated. Unusually for Whitby it has allocated parking for one car right outside the front door. The Apartment accommodates up to 4 people in two bedrooms, one double and one twin. All the accommodation is on the ground floor and there are no steps. There is a very spacious lounge/diner with modern fitted kitchen, table and chairs and a luxurious leather suite.
